We provide a cot, high chair, baby bath and changing mat free of charge. In the restaurant, you’ll have your own private dining area where children’s noises are part of the atmosphere. And the family spa, heated to 32 °C, is warm enough to ensure even the youngest children won’t feel cold. The playground in the garden has a slide, two swings and a sandpit.

As a parting gift, every child receives a little surprise present.

The reason why the Bismarck works for three generations is the clear separation: separate pool areas, separate restaurant areas, separate garden areas. Whilst the children splash about with Grandma and Grandad in the Family Spa, the parents relax next door in the Relax Spa, and in the evening the whole family meets up again for dinner together.

No, that’s a deliberate choice. Families come to us to spend time together. So there’s neither a kids’ club nor an entertainment programme. However, the children’s playroom and the teenagers’ lounge are right next to the Family Spa, so the children are always within earshot.

Children up to the age of 2 stay free of charge. From the age of 3, children’s rates start at €31 per night in summer and €49 in winter, each including gourmet & wellness half-board, provided there are at least two full-paying adults in the room. Older children and teenagers pay a sliding scale based on age up to the age of 16. In the suites and two-bedroom apartments at the Schlössl, a supplement applies per child per night.

In addition to the room rate, there is a €2.90 accommodation and mobility charge per person per night. Parking in front of the hotel is free of charge; the underground car park costs €6.50 per day in summer and €11 per day in winter.

Included are the gourmet & wellness half-board package, access to the thermal spa, Wi-Fi, the car park in front of the hotel, the Gastein Card and the Guest Mobility Ticket, which allows you to travel by bus and train throughout the Salzburg region free of charge.

The four thermal pools are divided into two areas. The Family Thermal Baths, featuring an indoor pool, an outdoor pool, a bubble floor, massage jets and a water cascade, are open to all guests; here, children can splash about to their heart’s content. The Relaxation Spa, featuring a whirlpool, an infrared lounge and a conservatory, is reserved for guests aged 16 and over.

Daily from 7.00 am to 7.30 pm. The outdoor pools are open all year round, even in winter when there is snow.

Yes, every Tuesday and Saturday from 2 pm to 3 pm and from 6 pm to 7 pm. Children aged 6 and over may then use the panoramic sauna and the steam room when accompanied by their parents.

For families, there are rooms ranging from 20 m² to 80 m² for 2 to 6 people, from double rooms with a sofa bed to apartments with two bathrooms. If you’d like two separate bedrooms, you could, for example, choose the Alpine Luxury Suite, the Penthouse Suite, the Tradition hotel apartments or two connecting double rooms in the Schlössl. For families with up to 3 children, there is a combination of the Alpine Luxury Suite and a Schlössl double room, offering three bedrooms and three bathrooms.

For teenagers, there is a dedicated youth room with table tennis and table football. The mini-golf course is a five-minute walk away through the park.

Yes, you can hire the hotel’s bikes free of charge; some come with child seats. E-bikes cost €35 per day.

The free ski bus stops right outside the hotel and runs every 10 minutes in peak season and every 20 minutes in the off-season. You can reach the Schlossalmbahn without having to cross any roads; it takes you to the mountain station in 9 minutes. The family-friendly Angertal Ski Centre, complete with a Kids’ Park, is also easily accessible.

You’ll receive a 10 % discount on ski hire in the Angertal valley and at Sport Fleiss by the Schlossalmbahn. You can collect your ski pass from reception; the cost will be added to your hotel bill.

Our partner ski school is the Bad Hofgastein Ski School, based in the Angertal valley at an altitude of around 1,200 metres.
They offer group lessons, private lessons and children’s ski courses for children aged 3 and over, as well as a guest nursery for children aged 2 and over. Every Saturday or Sunday evening, a ski instructor also visits the hotel to offer you personalised advice.

There is a ski cellar available at the hotel, and there is also a ski storage facility at the valley station of the Schlossalmbahn.

Yes, dogs are very welcome, both in the room and at the bar. Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant or the spa area. We charge €19 per day; food is not included.
